BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield homeless center offers licensed child care to help working mothers work outside of the facility.
Around 192 people stayed at the center two nights ago. Half of them were children and 32 of them were under the age of 5.
Right now, the child population is higher than normal. So, the center needs specific items focusing on the little ones and are asking for the communities help.
All items are being accepted but the shelter specifically needs bottles, sippy cups, boys and girls clothing sizes 2T-5T and some diapers sizes 4 and 5.
If you can help with these needs please bring the items to the donation center off of 1600 East Truxten Avenue. The donation center hours are Mon-Fri 8-5P and Sat 8-4:30p.
