Bakersfield man accused in stabbing at local apartment complex arrested

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local man is recovering this morning after BPD officers said he was stabbed at an apartment complex near Memorial Hospital.

On March 11, at about 11 p.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department went to the Panarama Park Apartment on West Columbus Avenue regarding a stabbing.

Officers said a fight broke out inside one of the apartments and 30-year-old Adam Hernandez was stabbed in the neck and chest.

He was taken to Kern Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Michael Hamen.

He's been charged for assault with a deadly weapon.
