Bakersfield man arrested after found with meth, bullet proof vest

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

A man was arrested after being found with suspected meth worth about $2,500 and a bullet proof vest.

On Monday, May 1, at about 9 o'clock at night, Probation Officers assigned to the AB 109 Post Release Community Supervision Unit attempted to conduct a compliance check at a Post Release Offender's residence in the 100 block of E. Moneta.

During the check a subject was contacted in the front yard of the home.

The subject, later identified as 42-year-old Byron Pollard, was found to be in possession of about 114 grams of suspected methamphetamine which has a street value of $2,500.00.

Pollard was also found to be in possession of a bullet proof vest.

Pollard was arrested, transported to jail, and charged with possession of methamphetamine for sales.
