Bakersfield man arrested for alleged store robbery of Jay's Market on South H Street

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Local law enforcement has announced that they have arrested a suspect for robbery.
On June 18, at about noon, officers with the Bakersfield Police Department received a call regarding an armed robbery that happened at Jay's Market on South H Street.
Officers said they went to Jay's Market, they learned the suspect entered the business armed with a firearm and demanded money.
The employee complied with the suspect's demands. The suspect then reportedly fled with the money on foot.
No one was injured during the crime.
On Wednesday, June 19, details from the investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Robert Dexter Reese for armed robbery.
