BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man suspected of robbing a bank in Bakersfield last month was arrested, according to officials.

On Feb. 28,  at about 4:00 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Metropolitan Patrol Division went to a home on Esther Dr. in Bakersfield to check the welfare of 68-year-old Marshall Chadwick.

Deputies said when they contacted Chadwick they believed he fit the description of the person depicted in photographs related to the Jan.28, robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1309 North Chester Avenue.

Sheriff’s Detectives were called to the home and an investigation was initiated.

Detectives said they were able to develop probable cause to arrest Marshall for robbery.

Marshall was booked at the Sheriff’s Central Receiving Facility.
