BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield man was convicted Friday afternoon for exposing himself to two girls over a year ago.

Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green announced the Jan. 31, jury trial conviction of Brian Cox for a misdemeanor charge of annoying a child.

Cox was accused of lewdly exposing himself from his vehicle to two 12-year-old girls walking on a sidewalk on Sept. 30, 2011.

According to reports, before he exposed himself to the girls, Cox was seen masturbating in his vehicle by a woman driving on Olive Drive.

The woman took a video of him and his vehicle with her cell phone which led to Cox's identification.

The jury failed to reach a verdict for misdemeanor lewd exposure for Cox being seen masturbating in his vehicle on Olive Drive.

Cox faces up to one year in jail when he is sentenced on Feb. 22.
