BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The man charged with the murder of an elderly couple back in 2011 is now facing life in prison.
Oscar Jimenez was convicted Thursday on two counts of second degree murder for the April 2011 death of Albert and Annabelle.
The couple was struck down by a truck, driven by Jimenez, as they walked down Auburn Street picking up trash.
Jimenez was under the influence of meth and marijuana when he hit them.
He had four prior DUIs.
He is facing 74 years to life in prison when he is sentenced later this month.
