BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield man died after he was ejected from his truck when it left the roadway late Monday night, according to officials.

On Feb. 18, at about 9:00 p.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department said 34-year-old Walter Cyrus was driving on Christmas Tree Lane when his truck lost control, rolled over, and left the roadway.

Police said no other vehicles were involved.

Officials said Cyrus was taken to Kern Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the collision and a determination of whether drugs or alcohol were a factor are still under investigation, according to officials.
