Bakersfield man found in Kern River at Hart Memorial Park had drowned

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The autopsy of the body of 44-year-old Clayton Hurst found in the Kern River at Hart Memorial Park has been completed.

According to the Coroner's report, the cause of death was determined to be a drowning and the manner was accidental.

Deputies with the Sheriff's Office found Hurst's body in the river on July 9.
