BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man is recovering in the hospital this morning after being stabbed in the back several times, according to police.
On April 23, at about 8:41 a.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department went to Planz Park regarding a stabbing.
Officers said when they arrived at the park they found the victim of the stabbing.
The victim of the stabbing told officials that he was approached by the suspect, referred to as 'Pete'. The victim and 'Pete' began to argue and 'Pete' reportedly stabbed the victim several times in the back.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
'Pete' was described as a 35-year-old white man, transient in appearance. He is said to be about 5-foot-4 with a bald head. 'Pete' was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts.
