BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield man convicted in the death of an infant could spend the rest of his life in prison.
James Johnson was sentenced today to 25 years to life for the 2010 murder of Jordan Johnson.
Baby Jordan was just 34 days old when he was found dead in his home.
He had third-degree burns on his body and several broken bones and a head injury.
The baby's mother, Denise Belmonte, was sentenced back in January for voluntary manslaughter for failing to protect her baby.
Back in April, Johnson was convicted of second degree murder.
