A man found guilty on charges in the death of two-year-old Jude Mae Newbold was sentenced today to 30 years to life in Wasco State Prison.
Nicholas Newbold was found guilty of assault on a child with great bodily injury, willful cruelty to a child, and manufacturing a controlled substance last month, the jury was hung on the second-degree murder charge.
A new trial was expected to be set for the second-degree murder charge but the motion was denied.
