BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - One lucky MEGA Millions player in Bakersfield came so close to last night’s $106 million jackpot after matching five of the six winning numbers.
The winner, Max. C, said he's been playing the lotto since 'the inception of the lotto.'
The winning ticket matched the numbers 12, 2, 54, 56 and 18, but missed the Mega number which was 1. The winning ticket is worth $1,567,705.
Max said he plans on paying off his house and buying a GMC truck.
Max purchased his ticket at Howard’s Mini Market, which is located at 3300 Planz Road in Bakersfield in Kern County and said he even intends on funding the cashier's trip to South Korea since she sold him the ticket.
No one else across the nation hit the jackpot last night, so that means Friday’s MEGA Millions jackpot grows to $119 million. And not to be outdone, tonight’s POWERBALL has grown to $245 Million.
