BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield mom accused of kidnapping is headed to an Idaho jail cell.
Lillie Alvarado has been extradited on kidnapping charges.
Police said she went to Idaho to get her son's 14-year-old girlfriend without the parents' permission.
Alvarado was taken into custody a couple of weeks ago.
Federal investigators said she took a train to Washington, then rented a car from there and drove to Idaho to pick up the girl.
She claims she was only trying to protect the girl from a turbulent home life and was hoping to get custody of her.
