Bakersfield organization held a prom for people with disabilities with the help of local businesses

Bakersfield ARC hosted a Hollywood themed evening

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Prom season might be over but one local organization held its big dance on Saturday night. Bakersfield ARC (BARC) held a Hollywood themed prom night for their clients.

"Well I feel excited, and also energetic, and also awesome," Reggie Hart described his night.

This is the second time that Hart has attended this event, and he was not shy about showing off his dance moves and even dancing with the ladies.

"Oh yes, I was dancing with most of the girls," said Hart.

Over 50 people attended the prom and BARC says this year's event was a huge success.

"Our clients love to have a good time and even if you come see them work here, they are always happy. This is just a nice event for them to just let their hair down and just have some fun," said Jeremiah Heitman.

Several local businesses helped put on this event. Mr Tuxedo donated formal attire, Steven Studios took pictures and Vintage Limousines donated two limousines to take the clients around the city.
