Bakersfield police arrest three teenagers in connection with southwest Bakersfield shootout

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield police has arrested three teenagers in connection with a shootout in southwest Bakersfield, Tuesday. 

Police arrested Charles Griggs, 19, Gerardo Felix, 19, and Javier Campos, 19,all from Bakersfield, in connection with a shooting that left one woman injured.

Police said the three suspects are believed to be gang members of the "Blasting On Crews" a graffiti tagging gang. 

Griggs was arrested on Tuesday for assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Police found him at the Mercy Southwest Hospital after he was treated for a minor leg wound that had resulted from the shootout. 

Felix was was located in the 1400 block of Truxtun Avenue and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, according to BPD officers. \

Campos was found Thursday and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.

Police said they do not believe the victims are involved in any gang related activity and the motivation for the attack is still under investigation.
