Bakersfield Police: Man wanted for harrassing child

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for annoying a child.

On Wednesday, Jan. 9, shortly before 4 p.m., the suspect drove his vehicle near the juvenile on Pin Oak Park Boulevard, exited the vehicle and asked the juvenile to get in the car.

The victim refused and walked away from the suspect, according to officials' reports.

The suspect then go back in the car and followed the victim for about half of a block.

The victim ran from the suspect and was contacted by a witness.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, in his 30s. Police said the suspect has salt and pepper shoulder length hair.  The  suspect was wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans, and white running shoes.

The vehicle the suspect was in is described as an older model, four-door, with chrome wheels with Maltese crosses located in the center of them.
