BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Customers will get a chance to ride a GET bus for free during the holidays.

GET employees and their children painted a Christmas bus which will be in the downtown parade Thursday night.

Starting Monday, Dec. 10, however, the Christmas bus will operate on a different route each day until Jan. 1.

Customers boarding that bus will ride for free, according to transportation officials.

GET buses will operate on a regular schedule on Christmas Eve, but will not operate on Christmas Day.

The GET offices will also be closed on Christmas Day.

Customers should consult the GET bus book, call Customer Service at 661-869-2GET (2498) or consult the web site for the holiday bus schedule.
