Bakersfield residents reported threats being posted on social media Tuesday night displaying clown masks on their profiles.
The posts included threats to commit acts of violence at local schools.
Arrests have been made in other cities following similar threatening posts.
Fresno police arrested a person Monday night after they made a social media threat toward several Fresno Unified Schools, KFSN in Fresno reported.
There is no immediate threat to safety at this time. The public is encouraged to report disturbing social media content to the social media service provider and law enforcement.
