Bakersfield toddler dies in pool accident
No criminal charges to be filed in boy's death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A 2-year old boy has died in an apparent pool accident at a home in Northwest Bakersfield.
Officers were called to a home in the 12000 block of Sawtooth Avenue Monday at 5:51p.m.
The boy was rushed to Mercy Southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:35 p.m., according to Bakersfield Police Lt. Scott Tunnicliff.
Tunnicliff says the boy's death appears to be accidental, and no criminal charges will be filed.
An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
