BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield veterans, once again, called on Representative Kevin McCarthy to support a stronger immigration reform plan, Wednesday.
Members of the "Veterans for Citizenship" and their families rallied in front of the Representative office on Empire Drive starting at 10 a.m.
Organizers with the group said they want the majority whip in the house to support the senate plan to make borders secure, which is something the Representative has opposed.
"One way or another we want him to stand up and take a vote," said Duane Goff, a Vietnam veteran.
Today's rallied was more symbolic than successful with a patriotic theme to the rally.
McCarthy returned to Washington on September 9, after summer recess.
