BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Officials said deputies responded to the victim of a dog bite on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, at about 4:04 p.m., deputies went to the trailer park at 6601 Eucalyptus Drive regarding a vicious pit-bull.

Officials said by the time deputies arrived, the pit bull was contained.

Deputies found 51-year-old victim, Barbara Morehouse, who had a dog bite who had been bit in the face and arm.

Morehouse told deputies her neighbor’s pit bull had gotten loose.  Morehouse said she tried to put the dog back into her neighbor's yard when the pit bull attacked her.

Officials said Morehouse was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment.

Animal Control went to the house and seized the pit bull.
