Bakersfield woman dies from serious injuries after hit by car

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A woman is dead after she received serious injuries after being hit by a car in north Bakersfield.
On April 26, at about 1 p.m., officers with the California Highway Patrol went to the intersection of McCray Street and 7th Standard Road regarding a pedestrian who was hit by a car.
Officials said the woman, later identified as 60-year-old Neva Yribarren of Tehachapi, was reportedly crossing the street in the crosswalk when she was hit.
According to officials, firefighters were performing CPR when CHP arrived.
CHP officials said Yribarren was taken to KMC due to her severe injuries.
At about 3:30 p.m., officials said Yribarren died due to her injuries.
