Bakersfield's Liberty High School opens school's new fitness center

Center was funded by donation from business

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Liberty High School conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the school's new fitness center on Friday.

The Liberty High School Fitness Center was funded by a generous donation from a local business, 'Sound Body, Sound Mind.' The company donated the funds for the fitness center to Liberty High at the request of an employee, Keith Legro, who graduated from Liberty High in 2004.

"We're extremely excited about this valuable contribution to the Liberty High campus which will be of great value to our students for years to come," said Liberty High Principal Libby Wyatt.  "We are particularly grateful to 'Sound Body, Sound Mind,' and our alumnus Keith Legro for their help in making this a reality."

The fitness center is located in the vicinity of the school's gym.
