BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Christmas is coming early to local seniors this year.

Officers from the Bakersfield Police Department will hold their first "Christmas for seniors" program Tuesday morning at East Hills Mall.

Organizers say many of the seniors who will receive presents are Veterans or widows of Veterans.

The organization is looking for anyone who would like to volunteer or donate to the program.

For more information, contact Sandy Morris at 616-703-8893.
