Juggling classes, a job and handling expenses at the same time can be a tough struggle for college students and Bakersfield College is offering some relief.

The school recently has been able to increase the times a student can visit the pantry from once a month to twice a month.

The student pantry is back better than ever after a funding issue.

The Student Government Association at Bakersfield College started their student food bank in 2010 with the help of private donations and student funding.

Students said financial aid is often used to pay for food, and when those funds are low, the pantry can be the light at the end of the tunnel.

It's not only students, but their children who also get to benefit from the donations.

The school is always looking for donations, and they say they'll take anything you can imagine cooking with.
