BAKERSFIELD - Best Buy is giving back to the Bakersfield community just in time for the holidays and just as it opens its new mobile store at the Valley Plaza Mall.

Best Buy Mobile and the Grammy Foundation, donated $2,000 to the South High School Music program.

The company presented the check to students in its efforts to give back to the community.  Best Buy began opening mobile stores about four years ago.

Leaders started with three stores and they now have more than 400 mobile stores across the country.

"It's been very receptive, a lot of customers came in and they are glad we are here in the mall area, being able to work on the specialty products like we have, not have rebates every time they get cell phones or a wireless device," said Michael Taylor, Best Buy manager.

The new mobile store not only helps repair your electronics but also sells items such as i-phones, i-pads and tablets.
