BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Two local women are putting looks on the sidelines as they come together for a game of flag football in hopes of finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease at their charity event Saturday, at Bakersfield Christian High School.
The 2014 Blondes versus Brunettes football game is an especially competitive game designed to bring awareness and donations to a disease that is now considered the third leading cause of death in America.
Organizers of the charity event say they have already raised almost $13,000 and are expecting to see a great turnout in Saturday's event.
The event starts at 12 p.m. at 12775 Stockdale Highway. Tickets are $5 and kids under five get in for free.
Along with the game there will also be live music and food. All are welcome to join.
