BAKERSFIELD - A body was found south of Bakersfield Thursday night and has been identified as Andrea Russell, who has been missing since early May.
Her body was found "obviously deceased" at South Union Avenue, south of Bear Mountain Boulevard, according to a release by the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
After completing a postmortem examination, the Sheriff's Office says the cause of death was determined to be strangulation and the manner of death was homicide.
