BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious package on Brundage Lane between Mount Vernon and Quantico avenues.
Police responded at about 6 a.m. to 2508 East Brundage Lane.
Brundage Lane has been reopened in that area.
An object with wires coming out of it was removed from the premises, officials said.
There was no detonation in the removal of the object, and the bomb squad determined that no explosive materials were present, officials said.
There is an investigation into who left the package.
