BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol shut down Interstate 5 at State Route 166 due to a box truck that was on fire.
The closure came at about 2:40 p.m. Monday.
The intersection is located just south of Arvin.
If you're heading South, utilize Copus Road East until you reach State Route 99 and then continue traveling South until the Freeway merges with Interstate 5.
If you're traveling North, stay on Interstate 5 as it turns into SR99. Take the Copus Road exit West and then resume travel on Interstate 5 North.
Both the Interstate was reopened at about 4:30 p.m.
