BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - On Saturday, May 17, 2014, the Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Detail conducted a DUI / Driver License Checkpoint southbound in the 5000 block of California Avenue, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
A total of 1529 vehicles passed through this location. 1499 of those vehicles were screened, with the following results:
- 4 DUI arrests
- 21 drivers were found to not have a valid driver license
- 7 of those drivers were found to have suspended license
- 22 vehicles were impounded
