BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - On Saturday, August 23, the Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Enforcement Detail conducted a DUI and driver license checkpoint in the 1000 block of Calloway Drive between the hours of 7 p.m. and 2 a.m.
A total of 1,340 vehicles passed through this location and 789 of those vehicles were screened.
Officers made a total of four DUI alcohol arrests, and one DUI narcotic arrest. Officers said 11 drivers were found to not have a valid driver license. Two of those drivers were found to have a suspended license, and a total of eight vehicles were impounded.
