BPD: Man arrested for possession of a pound of meth, loaded handgun, other weapons

BAKERFIELD, Calif. - Lamont Substation Deputies of the Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested a Bakersfield man for possession of methamphetamine and weapons, officials said.
Deputies went to an apartment complex located in the 400 block of White Lane in Bakersfield to conduct a probation search, officials said.
During the probation search, deputies located approximately one pound and three ounces of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, metal knuckles, and an electronic control device, officials said. An electronic control device is similar to a stun gun.
Robert Delap, 43, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of an electronic controlled device, and possession of metal knuckles, officials said.
Delap was booked into the Central Receiving Facility on those charges, officials said.
