BPD: Man shot outside of Club Inc., early Friday morning

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man is recovering in a local hospital following an early-morning shooting outside a downtown bar.
Bakersfield Police Officers heard shots fired in the downtown area at about 1:30 a.m. Officers located victims
and a witness in the 1900 block of “H” Street near the Padre Hotel, after his friends flagged down help.
Bakersfield police officers say the shooting actually happened several blocks away, in front of the Club Inc. at 1919 "K" Street. The investigation revealed that there was a peace disturbance inside Club Inc.
The peace disturbance continued outside the front of the business where gunshots were fired. Both the victims and witnesses fled the business, according to police.
One victim was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition. The second victim’s gunshot struck his shoe and did not cause injury.
The suspect is described as an African-American man, 25 to 30 years of age, with a small beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat and blue t-shirt, and carrying a small handgun.
