BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a local health store at gunpoint Thursday.
It happened at the Herbalife store on Columbus Street.
Bakersfield police said the suspect, Matthew Najera, held a woman against her will inside the store and took her purse and several other items of value.
Police later caught up with the suspect, but he resisted and actually injured an officer and got away.
They caught up with him a second time and he was arrested for robbery, false imprisonment, resisting arrest, and being a felon in possession of a fire-arm. The weapon was recovered as well as the victim's stolen property.
