BPD said estranged husband allegedly ran over wife and baby

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Police Department says a woman and her 20 month old baby were run over three times in the 10 block of Morrison Street on Feb. 6 around 10:30 p.m.

Police said the vehicle that ran them over was driven by the woman's estranged husband Traven Duane Buchholz, 29, of Bakersfield.

Buchholz fled the area after the incident, police said.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The woman was treated and later released, and the baby was admitted to the hospital with moderate injuries, police said.

Buchholz was arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff's Jail for two counts of attempted murder, spousal abuse, robbery and child endangerment, police said.
