BPD find suspect vehicle relating to Holiday Inn car buglaries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department officials said they have found the suspect vehicle relating to burglary from a vehicle at Holiday Inn.

On March 2 at 10 a.m. police say the suspect drove into the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express located at 4400 Hughes Lane. Police say the suspect parked next to a vehicle and used the driver's side rear door of his vehicle for concealment while he smashed the window of the other car and removed items from inside.

Police describe the suspect as an Hispanic man, about 5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build. They say he was wearing a black baseball cap, black short-sleeved shirt with a long sleeved white shirt underneath, black pants and black shoes.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a yellow 2000's GMC extended cab with a step-side pickup which is lowered with chrome spoke wheels, dual chrome exhaust and a black, Hard Tonneau bed cover.

Shortly after the release of this information two individuals called Bakersfield police detectives regarding the location of the suspect vehicle in Northwest Bakersfield. The vehicle has been recovered and the identification of the suspect is currently under investigation.
