BPD: Teen girl missing, possibly with an armed and dangerous sex offender twice her age

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield teen is missing and may be with a registered sex offender twice her age, the Bakersfield Police Department said.

Patsy Lopez was last seen on July 20, at 11:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Whitlock Street, officials said.

Lopez is possibly in the company of John Gonzales who is a parolee at large and considered armed and dangerous, officials said.

Gonzales is a registered sex offender and has removed his ankle monitor, officials said.

Lopez is described as a Hispanic female, 15, 5’2” tall, 120 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said Lopez last seen wearing a pink shirt, green shorts and sandals. Police said Lopez is considered at-risk due to her age and a medical condition.

Gonzales is described as a Hispanic male 37, 6’1” tall, 190 lbs. black hair and brown eyes, officials said.
