BPD: Woman stole from Rite-Aid, assaulted worker

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the community for help in identifying and locating a woman that is wanted for robbery and burglary.

On June 18 at 12:38 p.m. the suspect entered the Rite-Aid located at 1601 23rd Street and put items in an empty purse.

When she was confronted by a store employee, police say she assaulted the employee and was able to escape.

Police describe the suspect as a white female in her early 30's, 5'6" between 200 and 240 pounds with long dirty blond hair, wearing a pink shirt with ruffles on the collar and sleeves, black spandex pants and sandals. She was carrying a black and white striped purse.
