Brighthouse Networks donates $12,500 to Kern Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern Hispanic Chamber of Commerce received a $12,500 donation from Brighthouse Networks, Wednesday. 

The chamber and Brighthouse have been partners for many years. Brighthouse officials said the donation was meant to support Hispanic services through Kern County. 

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce provides cultural and bilingual events and promise to use the money to benefit the local economy. 

Brighthouse officials said the partnership they have developed with the chamber is very important to them. 

"We've been here for years and we really believe in investing in our community. That's very important, it's a part of who we are," said Brighthouse Network Vice-President Danielle Wade. 
 
Chamber president, Jay Tamsi, said the fund will be used for five different fundraising and culturally events next year.
