Buddhist teacher offers public lecture and day-long meditation in Bakersfield

Events held at the Junior League Community Center

Tibetan Buddhist teacher Anam Thubten offered a  public lecture and meditation on Friday evening at the Junior League Community Center in downtown Bakersfield.
Thubten will also hold a day-long silent meditation retreat on Saturday, July 20th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Participants are asked to donate at least $10 at the public lecture and $50 at the meditation retreat, but donations are not required.
Thubten  first visited Kern County last year and developed a strong connection with Bakersfield residents.
He has since maintained a close connection to the Bakersfield community. Many residents from Kern County travel together to visit him at lectures and retreats in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
