Bus with Camp KEEP students from Bakersfield breaks down on highway

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A charter bus shuttling local students and chaperones from Camp KEEP has broken down in Los Osos, Calif.
On March 22, at about 12:00 p.m., reports that a bus with students from the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District broke down on a highway between Bakersfield and San Luis Obispo.
The school district has confirmed that a bus did break down.
The bus was scheduled to be returning at about noon.
The school district has sent a replacement charter bus to the area to pick-up the 80 kids and ten parents.
The students and chaperones are expected to return to town by 6:00 p.m. They were stranded for about four hours before the replacement bus arrived.
