Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. and NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick were both on hand Wednesday morning to unveil a multi-purpose youth development park in East Bakersfield.

Titled Kevin Harvick Foundation Park, the facility was "designed for multi-sport use and includes a digital scoreboard, four outdoor fitness stations, and a rubber track surface around the field's perimeter.

The park is the result of a collaboration between the Kevin Harvick Foundation, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County.

This is the second partnership between the two athletes' foundations, the first resulting in a park in North Carolina. This is also the Ripken Foundation's second youth development park in California.
