California City Police: Stabbing suspect arrested

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - Officers learned of a stabbing on Oct. 3. after looking into a physical altercation, California City Police officials said.
Officers recovered the knife which was believed to have been used in the crime, officials said.
The suspect of the stabbing was later identified as Keith Swett, officials said.
Officers conducted a follow up investigation to an unrelated matter, which led them to Keith Swett’s residence Sunday.
Officers found Swett inside of a bedroom, officials said.
Swett said he was aware the California City Police Department was actively searching for him, officials said.
Swett was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and an outstanding arrest warrant, officials said. Swett was transported to the Kern County Jail in Bakersfield.
The victim in this case is expected to make a full recovery.
