California Highway Patrol Bakersfield area office hosts toy drive for less fortunate kids

Toy drive has helped families for ten years

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol Bakersfield area office will be hosting their Chips for Kids Toy Drive for disadvantaged and hospitalized children in Kern County.

The toy drive has been helping families throughout California for more than 10 years.

The CHP Bakersfield area office has partnered with the Kern County Network for Children and other local businesses to give the less fortunate kids of Kern County something to smile about this Holiday Season.

The toy drive will begin Monday, Nov. 19, and end Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The public can help by bringing a new unwrapped toy to the CHP Office on Buck Owens Blvd., Motor City (in the mall), the Bakersfield Californian, Keller Williams on Olive Drive, and the United Way.

CHP will provide free hot chocolate, food and candy canes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to individuals making a donation.

There will also be a raffle and prizes to possibly receive a $10 service credit from Motor City.
