Eesha Sohail wins KC Scripps Spelling Bee

Students grades 4th to 8th compete for title

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

The Kern County Scripps National Spelling Bee hosted by 23ABC took place Monday at California State University Bakersfield and a competitor from Bakersfield is headed to Washington D.C.

23ABC streamed the whole entire competition live as elementary and middle school students from all over the county battled it out to see who was the best  speller.

7th-grader Eesha Sohail won the Kern County Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Sohail will travel to Washington D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
