Cameron Canyon Road closed after hazardous material spilled on roadway

TEHACHAPI, Calif. - A stretch of road in Kern County has been closed Wednesday morning after hazardous materials spilled on the roadway.

On March 6, at about 11:00 a.m., Kern County Fire Department went to the intersection of Cameron Canyon Road and the railroad tracks regarding hazardous materials.

According to reports, KCFD requested the help of the California Highway Patrol regarding the spill.

According to officials, Cameron Canyon Road will be closed from Oak Creek Road to SR-58 until the area has been stabilized.

Drivers are encourage to use an alternate route.
