BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Cancer Fund announced the details of the Camp-Out Against Cancer event.
The non-profit helps county cancer patients with screening, diagnosis, and treatment for cancer and associated diseases.
The fund is looking for teams and team captains who are interested in raising money and competing in a local tournament.
The event will be in April.
Patients will be able to join teams in the games, but they wanted to keep most details a surprise.
The group is deciding on a venue and will announce their decision at their team meeting on Jan. 11 at the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center on Truxtun Avenue.
