BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Supporters of abolishing the death penalty in California will be meeting to shed some light on others about Proposition 34.
Supporters of proposition 34 are holding a candlelit vigil at the Liberty Bell on Thursday night.
If passed, supporters say Proposition 34 would eliminate the possibility that an innocent person would be executed for a crime they did not commit.
However, law enforcement agencies and victim advocate groups across the state argue that Proposition 34 would let convicted killers escape justice.
Tonight's vigil at the Liberty Bell will begin at 7 p.m.
